Frequently asked
Questions

What is a lash lift?

The lash lift procedure has revolutionized old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. Results last several weeks! It's a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! To top off the treatment, I'll apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 45 to 60 mins to complete. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Please arrive to you appointment completely free of eye makeup. If you wear contacts, they must be removed. Avoid caffeine a few hours before your appointment time.

Is a lash lift the same as an eyelash perm?

No the lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the "over curled" look of its predecessor . While the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. By eliminating the old fashioned perm rollers which curled back the lashes to the extent of the ‘dolly look’, the silicone pads used for this new procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.

Does the lash lift process hurt?

No. Your lash procedure will be performed with the utmost care and proper technique. The product never touches the skin during the process. For the most part it is pretty relaxing.

Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?

Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.

Why can’t I wear waterproof mascara?

Harsh chemicals are used in waterproof formulas in order to make them, well.... waterproof. This chemical composition is extremely drying to your lashes. Not to mention all the effort and extra tugging and pulling on the lashes to remove the mascara. To be honest, most people are not great at thoroughly removing the masacara. If that’s the case, now you’re running around with this super drying film of chemicals on your lashes 24 hours a day. This results in weakened lashes that are prone to breakage, and over shedding.
